aww, man! I didn't get there until like, 8:30, and was all the way back almost to 10th, so I didn't even call you guys! Ditto on the crowd, I couldn't see anything but back. It was pretty exciting, though, and I hadn't heard his tuition cuts for community service spiel yet- I really liked that idea!
Oh, I'm sorry we missed you, too! But it was so crowded anyway, it was hard to get around once we got there. I'm glad you got to hear him speak! I was really impressed with some of the initiatives he talked about, too. With that $4,000 tuition credit a year, I'd be debt-free from school (well, maybe). Plus I'd have some more volunteer/community experience under my belt. Maybe Ruby and Julian will have that opportunity.
In March 2008, Addie was on TLC's reality makeover show, "What Not to Wear." The best part? The new wardrobe and outlook on fashion. The worst part? The straight hair. She blogged about her experience while in New York and wrote several articles for the Statesman about the experience. (And yes, they really do give away all your clothes.)
